 Hon'ble Mr. Justice B.A. Khan, Chairperson J&K Accountability Commission Justice B.A. Khan was appointed as Permanent Judge of J&K High Court on 12th November, 1990. He was thereafter shifted to Madhya Pradesh High Court where he took over as Administrative Judge of the Indore Bench in September, 1997. He was then transferred to Delhi High Court in January, 2000 where he eventually rose to be the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court. During his stint at Delhi High Court he was also appointed as Chairman COFEPOSA Board and Chairman of Delhi Legal Service Authority in 2003 and while functioning in that position he adopted innovative approach to strengthen ADR Movement and was instrumental in bringing about an amicable solution to major disputes in and out of the Court.  Justice Khan returned to his parent J&K High Court in October, 2005 where he was appointed as Chief Justice and in which capacity he achieved socially significant and unprecedented targets for the State Judiciary. His contribution in the wake of earthquake that hit Kashmir Valley in October, 2005 by organizing “Justice at door step” program to provide on spot relief to earthquake victims was acknowledged by the President of India in his Republic Day speech. Justice Khan has widely traveled and has spoken at and participated in various national and international seminars and conferences. He has remained associated with a number of Indian & Foreign Judicial & Academic Institutes & Organizations.  Justice Khan has remained on the governing body of the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal and Indian Law Institute for several years. He is currently the President of South Asian Association for Regional Corporation in Law (SAARCLAW-India).   Justice Khan has now taken over as Chairman of the J&K State Accountability Commission, an anti-graft body in J&K State and is to hold this position for five years.
